Here at Studio 72, we offer a different types of yoga classes for adults which are taught by Cathy Addis.


​Vinyasa Flow Yoga:

A Vinyasa class is both a great place to start and to continue challenging yourself. Like all styles of yoga, Vinyasa has both mental and physical benefits. Flowing from one posture to another, the class usually starts with variations of Sun Salutations to warm up and energise the body, revitalising the body physically and mentally. It is an uplifting practice that increases muscle tone, improves flexibility and concentration, detoxifies the vital organs and allows you to relax deeply. Improving your overall health. This style allows for a lot of variety and each class can be slightly different- for instance in the evening flow class we slow it down a touch and focus more on releasing and de stressing rather then energising. All classes are mixed level and allow for those newer to yoga as well as those with a more advanced practice.


Vinyasa flow classes are on:

Wednesday at 9.15am, Wednesday at 8.30pm and Saturday at 10am. 15EU drop in.

Yin Yoga:

Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the vinyasa style of yoga (or any other type of more physical exercise that focuses on strengthening the muscles).

Yin poses are done in a seated or lying position where gravity can do most of the work.  We focus on relaxing our muscles (and our minds) so that we can target the deep connective tissue to maintain healthy mobility in the joints and ease any pain due to misaligment.  It is a very mindful practice as we focus on surrendering our urge to control, grasp or judge our experience. We just observe. While activity is slow, it can be quite a challenging practice due to the long duration of the poses (anywhere from three to ten minutes).

You need to experience this to really know what Yin Yoga is all about.  After you have experienced it, even just once, you will realize that you have been doing only half of the asana practice.

Yin Yoga class is on Thursday at 8.30pm. 15EU drop in.

Morning and Evening Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa, also called Vinyasa flow is a style of yoga that keeps you moving from asana to asana, linking each pose with an inhale and exhale. Each class can vary but movements are usually always smooth and continuious helping you stay present and grounded.

Morning Vinyasa Flow:

Come to a morning flow class to open up and greet your day! We will practice sun salutations, standing poses and lots of moving with the breath to get you into your body and ready for the rest of your day.

Evening Vinyasa Flow:

The evening vinyasa flow classes are slower paced and the focus will be on letting go and recentering after your day. We will practice more forward bends to relengthen and calm the nervous system, hip openers to release emotions and slow movement connected to your breath to rejuvenate and de stress the body in preparation for sleep.

Evening Flow with Yoga Nidra

This is a slower paced class made up of two halves - the first half  consists of yoga poses aimed to stretch and release any stress your body is holding onto from your day. The second half of the class is a guided yoga nidra (or meditation) practice, to replenish de stress and totally relax the body and mind. This class is suitable for any age and any level.

Pre Natal Yoga

Any woman can practice prenatal yoga – you don’t have to have practiced yoga before and you don’t have to be having a textbook pregnancy. In fact you don’t even have to be fit – each pose can be modified to offer more or less challenge depending on what you feel up to on any given day. If you are fit or are feeling energized, you will have the opportunity to challenge yourself a little more. Consistent, mindful practice throughout your pregnancy brings many benefits including: Increased strength and stamina (physical and mental) Active birth preparation (mental and physical) Breathing and relaxation techniques that help enormously in pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood Reduction of birth related fear and anxiety Community of women who support each other Provides time and space for self-nurturing Relief from pregnancy aches and pains Fights insomnia Aids digestion Balances endocrine system (hormones) Allows quicker recovery after birth Having a baby is one of the biggest physical and mental challenges you will ever face in your life and pregnancy yoga will help prepare your body and mind for that challenge.

Please note it is advisable to wait until 13 weeks before beginning a pregnancy yoga class, especially if you are not already an experienced yogi.  Wear something comfortable and non restrictive for exercising in.  Bring a yoga mat if you have one, there are some spares in the studio that you can use.

Claire teaches the Pre Natal Yoga in Studio 72 on Tuesday evenings at 6pm.

Pregnancy Yoga is €80 fr a 6 class card (valid for 10 weeks).

Post Natal Yoga


Mum and Baby Yoga is tailored to suit the need of women who have recently given birth and their babies. The class is suitable to begin after your six week check up, or after ten weeks if you have had a c-section.

In Mum and Baby Yoga class we focus on postures that work on restoring core and pelvic floor strength, realigning the pelvis, relieving low and upper back aches and tightness and generally increasing strength, stamina and fitness. Also included are breathing and relaxation exercises that help new mums switch off and relieve stress.

Most poses can be done on your own or can include your baby. There is also a section of the class that is all about engaging baby – gentle fun baby yoga stretches, songs and rhymes that will delight and excite your baby.

Mum and Baby Yoga class is much more social then a regular yoga class. As well as exercising you will be coming to a stress-free haven, meeting and chatting with other new Mums who completely understand where you are at – the benefits of this can not be over-estimated.

Mum and Baby Yoga classes are completely baby-led. This means you can feed, change and generally soothe your baby as and when needed. Babies cry and make noise in this class and that is perfectly normal and acceptable, so don’t worry if your baby is a little unsettled, you and your baby are always welcome. You will need a Yoga Mat & baby blanket.

Claire teaches the Post Natal Mum and Baby Yoga in Studio 72 on Fridays at 10.30am.

Mum and Baby Yoga is €80 for a 6 week block.  Special offer if combining with Baby Massage course €165.

Family Yoga

A family yoga class is an opportunity for families to experience yoga together and take time out from what is normally a full on and busy family life.

Childrens Yoga


The benefits of yoga for children are well documented from enhancing concentration, increasing balance, improving general well-being, boosting confidence to helping children understand what it is to respect ourselves, our community and our environment.

Doing yoga, children play, exercise, connect with their own sense of self and learn to develop relationships with their community and surrounding environment, both natural and man-made.

Cathy Addis

Cathy has been teaching in Studio72 since she graduated from her yoga teaching training with the renowned Samadhi yoga school back in 2014. She not only loves teaching others this wonderful beneficial practice but so do her students who love and return to her classes again and again. She is a Mum of 3, former artist and Reiki master and believes that finding love and understanding towards yourself and others really does start with your yoga practice.

She teaches a range of different yoga classes here in Studio72 from morning and evening vinyasa flow classes, to an uplifting feel good flow, as well a yin yoga class. Her vinyasa yoga classes combine elements of strength, energy, balance and relaxation while her yin yoga classes are nurturing, calming and soothing and releasing. Both styles of these yoga classes are complementary and offer the complete yoga experience- making sure you can maintain health and wellbeing in body and mind.

Claire Corcoran

Claire has been teaching yoga since 2007 after graduating from a 500 hr diploma with YTTC. She teaches Hatha Yoga, Yoga for Adults with special needs, Pregnancy yoga, Mum and Baby Yoga & Baby Massage. Claire was born with two fused vertabrae in her neck and found yoga helped relieve the associated pain and correct her posture and breathing. She also found that consistent practice led to positive changes in her mental health. After falling in love with yoga she decided she wanted to help others experience yoga’s healing effects. In 2013 while pregnant with her daughter Isabelle, Claire completed the ‘Trust in Birth’ prenatal & postnatal yoga training’ She found yoga helped enormously throughout pregnancy and birth. Claire feels strongly that yoga is particularly beneficial in pregnancy and post-natally and she feels privileged to work with women during this important life journey.
